12/7/23: Lifelover - Mental Central Dialog
Lifelover is one of my favorite bands of all time. I just really like this song. I especially like the piano riff and that intro progression is just satisfying.
This might be my favorite Lifelover song, but Pulver is my favorite album (of course).

12/4/23: Alcest - Sapphire
This song has been stuck in my head all day so I'm making it today's song of the day.
I've been trying to get into shoegaze and Alcest was a band I liked before I even knew what shoegaze was. This is their most popular song and I like this one in particular because it's not sung in any language. The song is just sung in gibberish but the sounds he makes are still familiar sounding almost like those "what English sounds like to non-Engilsh speakers" videos. And it's not like 100% off the top of his head, either. Like the "lyrics" are consistent throughout the choruses and verses despite having no real meaning. It's a super interesting style.
I don't know what exactly I like so much about this song but something about how atmospheric it is really does something for me. Like how it's kinda nonstop and the riffs are really cool.
